Владимир Екимов родился в 1971 г. в Смоленске. В 1986 г. закончил с отличием Смоленскую художественную школу. В 1991 г. закончил Ярославское художественное училище по специальности: художник-педагог, оформитель. Живет и работает в Ярославле .

Натюрморты Владимира Екимова были признаны и представлены коллекционерам в США с 1992 года. Его картины выставлялись престижными журналами, такими как «Art&Antiques».
